Jimmy Davis is the founding member of Davis Immigration Law. He is a member of the Maryland Bar and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and an active member of the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition.
Before striking out on his own, Jimmy was an Associate Attorney for the immigration law firm of Paul Shearman Allen & Associates in Washington, D.C., where he represented clients in all areas of immigration law, including but not limited to deportation defense, asylum claims, family and employment-based immigration, non-immigrant visa petitions, and federal immigration litigation. He has practiced immigration law before the Immigration Courts in Baltimore, Arlington, Boston, Philadelphia, Buffalo, and the Board of Immigration Appeals, as well as the Federal District Courts of the District of Columbia and Virginia, and the Second, Fourth, Ninth and DC United States Circuit Courts of Appeal.
In the summer of 2009, Jimmy was recognized for his “Outstanding Commitment to Defending the Rights and Dignity of Detained Immigrants” for his previous work at the CAIR Coalition.
Jimmy has represented clients from virtually every corner of the world. It is his joy and honor to strive every day to make the United States a more diverse and welcoming society.
